Cheryl Davison     BHSc, ND, Dip Nut, DRM
Fully qualified, experienced naturopathic practitioner

Hi and welcome to chez salu!
I'm a natural health expert who understands what it's like to live in the real  world. Whilst I've studied the health benefits of eating nutritious foods and exercising regularly, I appreciate that we don't always want to feel pressured into following strict regimes, that sometimes life gets tough and we have to balance our desires with life priorities. My role is to help you become your happiest and healthiest self.

Twenty years ago, whilst travelling around Australia, I experienced first hand the amazing health benefits that can be achieved through simple dietary and lifestyle changes. During the trip, I was attuned to Reiki, an ancient Japanese healing technique, and this acted as a catalyst for my career change from finance to complementary health.

After studying for four years at the renowned Nature Care College in Sydney and Charles Sturt University in NSW, I graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science Degree in Complementary Medicine and diplomas in Advanced Naturopathy, Nutrition and Remedial Massage. I have also studied energy healing, holistic counselling and coaching.

Since then I've worked in prestigious health clinics and spas in Sydney, London, Cyprus and at the exclusive Conrad Maldives Rangali Island resort. I ran a successful therapy practice in Brighton and currently work from Neal's Yard Remedies Therapy Rooms in Newbury, Berkshire and Wood Street Wellbeing in Swindon, Wiltshire, offering a wide range of treatments including naturopathy, nutrition, metabolic balance and bodywork therapies.

Over the past 16 years I've helped hundreds of people improve their health and I've noticed that there is (nearly) always an emotional imbalance linked to every dis-ease in the body. I say 'nearly always' as we are all unique, complex individuals and nothing is ever that straightforward, unfortunately...  Naturopaths say 'dis-ease' because we believe that our bodies are always trying to communicate with us. Physical symptoms are signs that your body wants you to pay attention and make changes to bring it back into balance - into 'ease'.

You may have similar physical symptoms to your best friend, but this doesn't mean that you would benefit from exactly the same treatment. For example, if you both experienced a headache, one may be caused by dehydration, the other by a food intolerance. I treat all clients individually, dealing with you as the person, not the dis-ease.

I value personal ongoing training and development, and regularly attend clinical protocol seminars and trade conferences. I am a member of the Complementary Therapists Association and the Complementary and Healthcare Council and hold full insurance with ´╗┐Holistic Insurance Services´╗┐.
I would have no problem recommending anyone to see Cheryl, in fact I have. During the time I have been seeing her I have found her to be an extremely knowledgeable, thorough and insightful practitioner. This together with her kind and caring nature has enabled me to engage in the wide variety of treatments she offers and I owe much of my new found health and happiness to her.
